Viola
Workshops were founded in
the
summer of 2005 by Robin Ireland
and four of his viola pupils, with the aim of promoting the viola and improving the
standard of viola playing.
The workshops are open to viola players of all ages: amateurs, students
including school, conservatoire or university students, teachers of the
viola,
and others with an interest in viola playing. There are up to 15
participants in each workshop.

- An excellent day which achieved the right
balance between playing, tuition and listening. Robin is an ideal
leader for such an event - inspired and inspiring teacher as well as
performer.
- Robin's recital had us spellbound - such wonderful
viola playing is an inspiration to us all.
- Excellent format and tuition. Opened up a whole new
musical vista in approach to ensemble playing. More please!
- I had a fantastic time and got a lot out of the day.

encouraging without making any criticisms personal.

Natalie, thanks to you and Robin for
such a rewarding day. The organisation is superb and the playing,
learning and listening opportunities were really wonderful.

Thank
you for another fantastic viola workshop. As always, the day ran very
smoothly, with lots of variety. Robin provided us with lots of tips and
things to work on, as well as it being very enjoyable.
